BLS Course
- A comprehensive CPR class covering adults, infants and children for CPR, AED, and choking. Includes special resuscitation techniques for respiratory arrest and emphasis on team dynamics.
- Classroom course involves hands-on learning with instructor guidance. Teaches proper responses in an adult or pediatric emergency.
- Required for anyone in a healthcare-related job
- Appropriate for first time students. Lifesaver’s BLS course may be taken by anyone, such as people not in a healthcare field or those with a current BLS card.
- Certificate provided upon successful completion and passing of course.

BLS Renewal
- A condensed CPR class covering adult, child, and infant CPR, AED, and choking for students who already hold a current BLS Provider card. Includes special resuscitation techniques and emphasis on team dynamics.
- Students must hold a current (not-expired) AHA BLS Provider card.
- Classroom course involves hands-on learning with instructor guidance.

HeartCode BLS Online + Skills
- The HeartCode BLS Online Course covers the same topics as the BLS Classroom Course.
- Includes HeartCode BLS Online and required in-person skills session with a trained instructor at our facility. The skills session may be scheduled now, or after completing the online course by calling our office.
- After registering for HeartCode BLS Online, access to online class is provided immediately via email.
- Skills testing sessions are available almost every day. Once you have completed your online portion, call or email us to schedule a convenient appointment time.

BLS CLASSROOM COURSE (IN PERSON)
The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class trains students on adult, child, and infant CPR, including the use of a bag-valve mask and an automated external defibrillator (AED), with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
The class also covers foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.
Students will master their BLS skills through a combination of hands-on practice and video-aided instruction with instructor guidance.
BLS is required for anyone working in a hospital or healthcare setting. Students not in a healthcare setting are also welcome to take this CPR class.
This course meets the Dental Board of California’s requirements for continuing education.
BLS ONLINE COURSE (ONLINE + SKILLS TESTING)
The BLS Online Course covers the same topics as the BLS Classroom Course, allowing students to assess and treat patients in a virtual healthcare setting. This comprehensive class includes access to the online textbook and uses the latest in electronic simulation technology.
HeartCode BLS is the only AHA accredited online course and students will receive the same Course Completion Card after completing the in-person skills session as you would from taking a classroom course.
THERE ARE TWO PARTS TO
HEARTCODE BLS ONLINE CLASS:
Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation and written test completion (1.5 to 2.0 hours)–Immediate access to online class upon registration.
- Part 2 in our office: Skills evaluation through the use of Voice-Assisted Manikin Technology and instructor guidance in our office (15 to 45 minutes)–May be scheduled now or you may call to schedule after completing the online course. Skills sessions are available daily, by appointment.
